Richard J. Green
I am an artist who brings a scientist’s eye to my photography. Educated as a geneticist with a love for field biology, my sense of wonder and discovery has taken me around the world in pursuit of images. Africa, Europe, Central America, South America, and North America have all served as a stage for my camera. As a photographic artist, I am always searching for that magical place created by light and the mystery of the natural world.
My images have been published around the world, exhibited extensively in Georgia, garnered numerous awards, and were featured on Georgia Public Television's Emmy award winning program, "Outdoors with John Paling." In addition, for the past 30 years, I have imparted my love of photography to students privately, at the Spruill Center for the Arts (Dunwoody, GA), and the Southeastern Center for the Arts (a.k.a. the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, Montana).
Additional images may be found at Down Creek Gallery (Ocracoke Island, NC) and at Science Source Images (New York - www.sciencesource.com).
